Equipment care
General care guidance for gym equipment. Your manufacturer’s model-specific manual takes priority.
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Before assembly & use
Read the supplied manual, identify every component and check the equipment for damage. Follow the manufacturer’s assembly sequence, torque requirements, electrical specifications, clearances and user-weight limits. Use the equipment only for its stated purpose.
Place equipment on a stable surface and keep moving parts clear of children, pets and loose clothing. Arrange professional assembly or service when required by the manufacturer.
Routine checks
- Inspect cables, belts, pulleys, fasteners, pedals, handles and adjustment locks before use.
- Clean sweat and dust using products approved by the manufacturer.
- Lubricate only the components identified in the manual and follow its schedule.
- Keep vents unobstructed and store equipment in the environment specified for the model.
Disconnect powered equipment before cleaning or servicing when instructed by its manual. Never remove guards or bypass safety features.
If something is wrong
Stop using equipment that moves unexpectedly, has damaged cables, exposed wiring, loose structural components or an unusual noise or smell. Do not attempt a repair beyond your competence. Contact us or an appropriate service technician with the model, serial number, order number and description.
Records & warranty support
Keep your receipt, manual and service records. Requirements differ between residential and commercial equipment. See our Product Warranty guide and the specific warranty supplied with your product.
